The acceptance of applications for participation in the “Model United Nations” competition, which is organized among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan by the International University of Humanities and Development (IUHD), continues.
The theme of the competition is “UN: International Peace and Trust”, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The competition will be held on May 28 in person at IUHD. The event will be held in English. The competition is a simulated UN meeting, where students will act as delegates.
On May 27, the organizing university will conduct preliminary training for students related to the rules and procedure for the “Model UN” competition, as well as its content and the tasks of the participants.
The winners of the competition will be determined by voting by the participants themselves and will be announced in three categories: “Best Speaker”, “Best Speaker” and “Audience Choice”.
Students who wish to take part in the competition can fill out a registration form on the IUHD website until May 21.

The competition is held on the occasion of a significant event - the unanimous adoption by the UN General Assembly at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session of the Resolution “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust”, initiated by Turkmenistan.
