Systemic transformations in the transport and logistics sector of Turkmenistan and the great potential of the Turkmenbashy International Seaport were presented by the Turkmen delegation at a meeting of the Transport Coordination Committee of the Organization of Turkic States.
The meeting was held in the capital of Hungary from April 25 to 26, the Turkmen delegation was headed by the chairman of the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency Batyr Annayev. This was reported by centralasia.news with reference to the MIC.
Delegates discussed the results of joint work within the framework of the JTC in such areas as the development of the Trans-Caspian corridor, digitalization of transport documents and transport services, including using e-Permit, eTIR and eCMR tools, as well as the implementation of a joint action plan for the implementation of the Transport Connectivity Program adopted in November 2023 at the OTG Summit.

Annaev informed the meeting participants in detail about the Turkmenbashy port complex, which includes ferry, passenger, container, cargo and other terminals, as well as the Balkan shipbuilding and ship repair plant.
