Turkmenistan will host the 38th meeting of the Conference of heads and responsible representatives of railway transport organizations of the Organization for Cooperation between Railways OCR), which will be held from April 15 to 19 this year in Ashgabat, TDH reports.
As the General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakiyev said during the Government meeting, the agenda of the 38th OCR meeting will consider the results of the activities of the specialized Commissions and permanent working groups of the Organization for 2023, discussion of the Work Program for the coming years, and also the question of the feasibility of developing a draft OCR Development Strategy. In addition, it is planned to discuss issues of professional training and education for employees of the railway system.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, summarizing the report, noted that the country is implementing program measures to develop international transport corridors of regional importance and developing mutually beneficial international cooperation. In this regard, the head of state instructed the head of the Agency of Transport and Communications to prepare for the 38th meeting of the Conference at a high level.
