Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Uzbekistan Shadurdy Meredov met with Uzbek Culture Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov to discuss joint events to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen classical poet Magtymguly Fragi, reported the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the high level of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, and discussed in detail the Turkmen-Uzbek interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
The Turkmen diplomat briefed the Uzbek side on the various festive events to be organized in Turkmenistan to mark the anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.
In his turn, the Uzbek Minister of Culture informed about the events in his country planned in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On widespread celebration of the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi”.
