The execution of the revenue side of the state budget of Turkmenistan in 2023 amounted to 109.4%. Minister of Finance and Economy S. Jorayev reported on this during an extended meeting of the Government, TDH reports.
According to the report, the expenditure part of the budget was fulfilled by 99.8%. According to local budgets, revenues amounted to 104.1%, expenses – 99.9% of the plan.
It was also reported that in 2023, 100 meetings of balance commissions were held, including 80 regional ones, during which the results of the financial and economic activities of ministries and line departments, their reporting institutions and enterprises were reviewed.
The volume of investments aimed at developing the national economy in 2023 compared to 2022 increased by 7.5%, which in relation to GDP amounted to 18.3%. Of the total volume of capital investments utilized, 49.1% were allocated for industrial facilities, and 50.9% for social sector buildings.
Information was also provided on the implementation of the National Rural Program and other priority areas for the development of Turkmenistan.
