Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Artyom Atakulov will become a rival of the Turkmen athlete Abdulla Babayev at the Fight Nights Global tournament. Representative of Gala Sports Management Ilaman Beknazarov told Turkmenportal about this.
The fight will be held on February 23 in Moscow. The live broadcast of the fight will be available on the “Udar” TV channel, starting at 21:00 Ashgabat time.
“Abdulla Babayev’s opponent will be Artyom Atakulov”, - said the interlocutor of the online publication.
Abdulla Babayev is an international master of sports in combat sambo, a three-time winner of the World Cup, and an Asian and world champion in pankration.
Turkmenportal previously reported that Babayev’s preparation for his debut fight in the professional arena is being carried out by the legend of Turkmen MMA Rustam Kurayev, who has more than 30 fights in mixed martial arts.
In December 2023, Abdulla Babayev entered into an agreement with Gala Sports Management, and in January of this year he signed a professional contract for a fight with the Russian organization Fight Nights Global.
