The annual traditional meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with the ambassadors of the CIS countries took place in Moscow. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev also took part in it. The purpose of the event was to sum up the results of cooperation within the Commonwealth in 2023 and consider plans for the future, reports the Turkmen diplomatic mission in the Russian Federation.
Reportedly, at the meeting the parties discussed the priorities of Russia's chairmanship in the CIS this year. In addition, the meeting participants exchanged views on current international and regional topics.
Traditional annual meetings of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry with ambassadors of the CIS countries are held with the aim of coordinating joint work and determining strategic areas of cooperation for the next year.
