Over the past year, vessels of the national sea carrier of Turkmenistan CJSC “Marine Merchant Fleet” from the International Seaport of Turkmenbashy transported to foreign ports of the Caspian Sea and delivered more than 2 million tons of cargo from there to their home port.

According to the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper, these include oil products, building materials, fertilizers, grain, containers, bulk and other domestic and transit cargo.

During 2023, passenger airliners carried a large number of passengers; dry cargo ships and ferries delivered about four thousand containers, more than fifteen thousand cars and other equipment to their destination ports.

The Turkmen RO-PAX class automobile-passenger vessels Berkarar and Bagtyýar uninterruptedly served the busiest line in the Caspian Sea between the International Seaport of Turkmenbashy and the Baku International Sea Trade Port. Each of these ships carries 54 cargo vehicles and 200 passengers, covering the route in 12 hours.

Passenger ships Çarlak, Rowaç and Rahat worked hard last year. Among the frontliners are the crews of tugboats and tankers - the largest flotilla of Turkmenistan's merchant marine fleet.

CJSC is aimed at increasing the role of Turkmenistan in world trade, diversifying foreign trade turnover and the country’s active participation in the global economy. The joint stock company has twenty large-capacity vessels of various types and purposes.

The fleet includes dry cargo ships, tankers for the transportation of oil and petroleum products, passenger ships, car-passenger ferries, yachts, tugboats of various classes and auxiliary vessels to provide high-quality transport services to Turkmen and foreign carriers.
