Preparations for the New Year holidays, ensuring an abundance of products in markets and stores, as well as issues of development of the agro-industrial complex were discussed at a working meeting held via the digital system by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, TDH reports.
It was noted that in order to increase wheat yields in the fields of the regions, crops are cared for in compliance with agrotechnical standards. The fields are also being prepared for sowing cotton next year. Along with this, technical inspection and repair of agricultural machines and units are carried out, maintaining them in proper condition.
Working trips of scientists and specialists of the agro-industrial complex to the regions of the country are organized, during which they get acquainted with the work carried out in the etraps of the velayats, including compliance with agrotechnical standards when growing wheat, the state of agricultural machinery, the state of affairs in the fields for sowing cotton, and also provide information to farmers relevant recommendations.
After listening to the reports, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of high-quality seasonal agricultural work to obtain rich harvests.
The head of state also instructed the hyakims of the velayats to hold New Year’s celebrations at a high level and ensure an abundance of products in the country’s retail outlets at affordable prices.
