Under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan, six quarry departments operate in different regions of the country, producing non-metallic building materials necessary for facilities being built in the country, as well as those in demand in other sectors of the economy.
Among them: Geokdepe, Kaka, Balkan, Koytendag departments and Galaimor quarry farm. All of them are engaged in the development of quarry deposits in different regions of Turkmenistan and differ in production capacity.
In the national economy of the country, various types of non-metallic materials produced by them, differing in density and fractions, are widely used: sand-gravel mixture, crushed stone, washed crushed stone, washed sand, rubble stone, sand from crushing screenings and crushed enriched sand, crushed stone-sand mixture, rock mass, building chalk and gypsum, gypsum stone, kaolin and ground caustic dolomite.
In order to produce high-quality, competitive products from local raw materials, quarry management is equipped with modern technological equipment.
