A representative of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography took part in the international media forum held in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the MIC reports.
Organized by the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the event brought together representatives of over 50 news agencies from around the world, as well as scientists, ministers and political scientists.
During the forum, the delegate from Turkmenistan held a series of meetings with representatives of foreign television and radio companies, international media organizations and television and radio broadcasting associations, discussing the prospects for further development of cooperation.
The forum organizers focused on the development of responsible and balanced media. The key role of the media in maintaining cultural aspects and the importance of a deeper analysis of errors in working with information were emphasized. Particular attention was paid to the problem of spreading false information, as well as strengthening ties between different religions and cultures.
