From November 18 to 27, a mini-basketball festival for children under 12 years old, organized by the Basketball Federation of Turkmenistan, is taking place on the territory of the Ashgabat multifunctional stadium. Teams from Ashgabat and all velayats of the country take part in the sports festival.
Competitions are held according to the rules of mini-basketball. This allows children to feel more comfortable on the playground and enjoy the game.
Girls take part in the first stage of the festival, which runs from November 18 to 23. Boys will play in the second stage, which will take place from November 23 to 27.
For many festival participants, this is their first competition as athletes. They show their skills in basketball, as well as their creative initiative, in a separate competition. On the last day of the festival, fun starts are planned for all participants.
The mini-basketball festival is not only a sports, but also a cultural and educational event that promotes the development of children, their health and socialization, noted the Basketball Federation of Turkmenistan.
