On November 21, the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform on the stage of the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic under the direction of People's Artist of Russia, laureate of the “Stars of the Commonwealth” award Sergei Skripka.
During the evening, the head of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, Rasul Klychev, will also take the conducting stand, according to the Philharmonic’s website.
Kyrgyzstan will be represented this evening by Rahat Osmonaliyev, Azerbaijan by Murtuza Bulbul.
Opera vocalists - participants in the Bolshoi Theater youth program, also representing CIS member countries - will perform on the same stage with the orchestra.
The concert program includes arias and ensembles from famous operas.
The concert will mark the closing of the interstate program “St. Petersburg - the cultural capital of the CIS 2023” and will be dedicated to the memory of Yu.H. Temirkanov.
