The Mejlis of Turkmenistan is working to strengthen interaction with international structures and parliaments of foreign countries. Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova informed about this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports.
In particular, credentials were accepted from the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, meetings were held with the heads of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and the “Hidayat” International Center of the UAE.
The deputies took part in a working meeting with USAID experts on the implementation of the regional project “Safe Migration in Central Asia”, as well as in a UNICEF seminar on strategic planning to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, they participated in a meeting of the interparliamentary friendship group in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, it was reported that Turkmen parliamentarians speak at various events, explaining to the public the goals of the reforms being carried out in the country and the laws being adopted.
