1. The International Atomic Energy Agency hosted a ceremony to hand over the original instruments of ratification of Turkmenistan's accession to the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident and the Convention on Assistance in the Case of a Nuclear Accident or Radiological Emergency. These conventions will enter into force for Turkmenistan 30 days after the transfer of the instruments of ratification.

2. The velayat telecommunications company “Marytelecom” launched a digital telephony and Internet system based on the new GPON technology in the eastern region of Turkmenistan.
