Turkmen designer Selbi Sultanova took part in the International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion”, held in St. Petersburg from November 9 to 10.
According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the forum brought together designers from different regions of Russia, as well as representatives of neighboring countries. The program of events included exhibitions, round tables and fashion shows.
On November 10, fashion collections of designers from Turkmenistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were demonstrated at the Tauride Palace, the headquarters of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States.
Selbi Sultanova presented a fashion collection in collaboration with the Turkmenbashy Jeans Complex, a manufacturer of jeans for global and national brands made from environmentally friendly cotton.
The Turkmen designer noted:
- “Commonwealth of Fashion” is a strong platform for promoting brands in the CIS countries. The economic potential of this project is enormous, since the platform brings together representatives of manufacturing enterprises, relevant ministries, departments and professionals in the field of fashion. We hope that our new collection will appeal to lovers of comfort and ethno-chic. We also look forward to many years of cooperation between the participants.
For the first time, the International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” was held in 2022 with the participation of about 700 representatives of the fashion industry. Thanks to the signing of a number of agreements in its fields, designers from the CIS countries are now more widely represented in the trading houses of the city on the Neva.
