President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the participating countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization to develop an ECO Framework Agreement on digital technologies and e-commerce, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Speaking at the 16th ECO Summit in Tashkent, the head of the Turkmen state called this proposal relevant in the light of Turkmenistan’s initiative to create economic corridors in the region.
“We see them as a system of sustainable main routes for the promotion of goods, services and funds. To do this, it is necessary to establish and develop on an integrated basis a partnership between leading industrial firms, investment companies and banks of our countries”, - said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The initiative to create economic corridors in the ECO region was proposed by Turkmenistan in 2021, during its chairmanship of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
