The President of Turkmenistan will take part in the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization

The sixteenth summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will be held in Tashkent on November 8-9. As previously reported, the event will be attended by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

During the high-level negotiations, issues of further expansion of trade, economic, investment, transport, communications and humanitarian cooperation within the ECO, as well as improving the activities of this multilateral structure, will be considered, reports the press service of the Uzbek leader.

In addition to Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the event will be attended by the heads of state and governments of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Türkiye.

It should be noted that the Economic Cooperation Organization was founded in 1985 with a permanent secretariat in Tehran.

The organization’s previous summit was held in Ashgabat in November 2021.
