Today, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Hakan Fidan, the Watan information program reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including prospects for the development of trade, economic, investment, transport, communications, cultural, humanitarian and other types of cooperation between the two countries.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of relations with Turkey, which is its strategic partner.
The head of state expressed confidence that the upcoming official visit to Turkey will open a new page in bilateral cooperation.
Minister Fidan also stated Turkey's commitment to further strengthening Turkmen-Turkish relations. He noted that Turkey is interested in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan in all areas, including energy, transport, communications and others.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the traditional friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey will continue to successfully develop on the basis of mutual benefit.
