The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ashgabat hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the international competition for the best journalistic work “Caspian Sea without Borders”. The ceremony was attended by the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin.
On behalf of the organizing committee of the competition, the Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region, Vladimir Golovkov, presented diplomas and valuable gifts to the laureates – journalists of Turkmenistan, astrobl.ru reports.
First place in the “Fresh Look” nomination was won by journalist of the newspaper “Turkmenistan” Aygul Rahimova for her article “Commonwealth. Friendship. Cordiality."
Journalist Ilaman Churiev was awarded a diploma for second place in the “PhotoCaspian” nomination. He submitted photographs to the competition dedicated to the development of cooperation between the Caspian countries.
“Holding the Caspian Without Borders competition helps the residents of our countries to know and understand each other better. And a big role in this belongs to you, journalists,” noted Vladimir Golovkov, Minister of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region. – Experts from Turkmenistan took an active part in the Caspian Media Forum. We look forward to seeing you at this international event in 2024.”
