The High Technology Week of Turkmenistan began with the International Conference on High Technologies and Innovation. The event brought together leading experts in the field of technology and innovation, as well as international experts invited by the UNDP and OSCE to provide a comprehensive overview of global trends in technology, innovation and digitalization.
The conference served as a platform for active interaction between interested government agencies, educational institutions and local youth with representatives of high-tech centers and companies, including UrbanistAI, World Metaverse Council, Drees & Sommer, Jerusalem Center for Urban Innovation of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, CITYSHOB and young environmental activists. The presentations covered topics such as green economy, artificial intelligence for sustainable development, cybersecurity, automated urban ecosystem and the role of youth in building green and smart cities.
On September 19, UNDP and OSCE experts will also give lectures for students of the engineering university. The lectures aim to highlight the importance of promoting sustainable urban development by harnessing the potential of technology and innovation, introduce new perspectives on technology entrepreneurship and provide a platform for interactive discussions on how to harness technological innovation for sustainable growth.
As part of the High Technology Week, a brain ring will be organized on September 21 on the theme “Youth and Innovation,” the UNDP press service reports.
