The Turkmen delegation is taking part in the VIII Caspian Media Forum, which takes place in Astrakhan on September 18-19.
The forum brought together participants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Astrakhan media reported.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region, 101 people are represented in the foreign delegations.
On September 18, a meeting of the heads of delegations of the participating countries will take place.
On September 19, the Caspian Media Forum itself will take place, the theme of which is “Public diplomacy and social media as a factor in bringing peoples closer together.”
The results of the 10th competition for the best journalistic work “Caspian without borders” will be summed up at the forum. More than 450 media outlets and bloggers from the Caspian states sent their works to the competition.
