The press secretary of the President of Turkmenistan has changed. The press service of the head of the state was headed by the former editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Berektli Toprak" Azat Jepbarov. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant Resolution today, reported information program Watan of Turkmen television.

Azat Jepbarov replaced Kakageldi Charyardurdyyev, who worked for more than 15 years, as the press secretary of the President of Turkmenistan, who was released from this position today "due to transition to another job".

Azat Jepbarov's career in journalism began with the position of deputy editor-in-chief of the youth newspaper "Nesil". After that, on March 6, 2018, he was appointed the editor-in-chief of the "Blessed Soil" newspaper. In December 2020, he was awarded the jubilee medal "25 years of Neutrality of Turkmenistan", and in September 2021 - a commemorative medal in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

On February 4, 2023, Azat Jepbarov will serve as the press secretary of the People's Consultation of Turkmenistan - the highest representative body of the people's power, which is headed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. With the direct participation of A. Jepbarov, in February of this year, the People's Information website was created, which introduces the activities of this body and news in this area.
