The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today sent deep condolences to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the death of people in an explosion at a gas station in Dagestan, the information program Watan of the Turkmen television reported.
On behalf of the Halk Maslahaty, as well as on his own behalf, the head of the highest representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan conveyed words of empathy and support to all the families and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims.
An explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala occurred on the evening of August 14 at the exit from the city. The fire area at the explosion site is 500 square meters. 35 people died, more than 100 were injured, many in hospitals.
Earlier it was reported that President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also expressed condolences to Russian leader Vladimir Putin due to the emergency at a gas station in Makhachkala.
