Turkmenabat hosted the velayat stage of the “Master Gardener” competition, announced by the National Trade Union Center of Turkmenistan. More than 10 gardeners from etraps of the region took part in it.
According to Jeyhun.news, the competition assessed the work of orchard growers, namely by the quantity, quality, presentation and taste of the crop they received this year.
As a result of the competition, the first place and the right to participate in the national stage of the competition was taken by the gardener of the “Gulistan” farming association of Sayat etrap Sulgun Agamamedova. There are 450 plum trees in her garden and she harvests between 70 and 100 kilograms of apricots every year.
Serdar Dovranov, who won the second place, grew about 10 tons of apples, apricots and blackberries in his garden in the “Magtymguly” daihan association of Halach etrap.
The third place in the competition was won by the specialist of the Kerki etrap branch of the trade union Surai Hudayberdiyeva. She managed to harvest 4 tons of apples and peaches from her 7-hectare garden at the Osman Sohbetov Farming Association.
