The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan announced the start of accepting documents for issuing study visas for applicants and students in Russian universities. From July 22, the reception will be held on Saturdays according to preliminary lists, ORIENT reports.
This will simplify and speed up the process of obtaining a visa for Turkmen youth wishing to study in Russia. According to representatives of the embassy, the innovation is also due to the fact that the number of quotas for Turkmen citizens in Russian universities has increased compared to last year and amounts to 300 places.
To apply for a student visa, you must have:
- an invitation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to apply for a student visa or visa instructions from the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
- printed electronic forms with a photo, pre-filled on the site visa.kdmid.ru;
- a copy and original of valid internal and foreign Turkmen passports (the validity of the international passport must be at least 18 months from the expiration date of the visa specified in the invitation);
- a valid certificate of the absence of HIV infection with a translation into Russian (the certificate is valid for 3 months).
A free study visa is issued within seven working days. The cost of an urgent visa is 160 USD, and processing takes three business days.
Earlier it was reported that from August 1, 2023, the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan introduces new rules for issuing visas. Now, in order to obtain a Russian visa, you need to fill out an electronic application form on the website visa.kdmid.ru and sign up for receiving documents in an electronic queue at q.midpass.ru.
