The youth teams of Turkmenistan in 3x3 basketball will take part in the matches of the qualifying stage of the League of Nations-2023 in Doha

On June 20-26, Doha (Qatar) will host matches of the qualifying stage of the League of Nations in basketball 3x3 among youth teams - FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League 2023.

Turkmen basketball players, together with the teams of Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, which formed the “Asia-West” conference, will compete for a ticket to the final stage of the 2023 Nations League, which will be held from September 13 to 15 in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia).

According to the press service of the FBT, 15 people arrived in Doha as part of the Turkmen delegation, including 12 athletes, the Secretary General of the Basketball Federation of Turkmenistan, FIBA Asia executive committee member Bahar Mahtumova, head coach of the men's team Toyli Bayryev, head coach of the girls' team Islam Tachmammedov.

Boys (U-23):

Evgeny Nazipov, Dovlet Narmyradov, Shalar Hydyrov, Maksat Hojaberdiyev, Kirill Besh and Ismail Arazmammedov.

Girls (U-23):

Zibagozel Hydyrova, Anastasia Altybayeva, Gulnaza Reimova, Roza Amanova, Farangiz Saidova and Aynur Myradova.

In accordance with the regulations, from June 20 to 26, the teams will play each other six matches, and the winner of the conference will be determined by the highest number of points scored.

The FIBA 3x3 Nations League was launched in 2017 as a developmental program for men and women under 23 to develop their skills in preparation for the open category.
