Internet banking is gaining more and more popularity among the residents of Turkmenistan. From year to year, the number of users is growing at a rapid pace.
As of June 2023, the number of active users of the Internet banking service reached 983 717. Such data are provided by the Processing Center of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
The market leader in this indicator is SCBT "Dayhanbank" (361 877 users). The second place is taken by the SCBT “Turkmenistan” (320,317 users), the third one is by the AKBT “Turkmenbashy” (170 445 users).
It should be noted that Dayhanbank mainly works with clients in the regions of Turkmenistan. Thus, most of the users are in Mary (143,691), Lebap (81,133) and Dashoguz (58 876) velayats.
At the same time, the other two leaders of the rating - banks "Turkmenistan" and "Turkmenbashy" have most of the users concentrated in Ashgabat – 129 072 and 29 169, respectively.
