A 5,3-magnitude earthquake hit the Chinese province of Yunnan, TASS reports, citing sources from China. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of about 40 kilometers.
Nearly 11 000 people were evacuated from the disaster area in the city of Baoshan, and 2 400 people were sent for rescue work. Temporary shelters have been set up for the victims.
According to preliminary data, there are no dead, but there are injured people who were sent to nearby hospitals.
