Turkmenistan, Russia and Kazakhstan will create a joint venture for the development of transportation

JSC "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan", Kazakhstan transport and logistics company KTZ Express and JSC "RZD Logistics" signed a memorandum on the establishment of a joint venture (JV) for the development of transportation, TASS reports with reference to "Kazakhstan Railways".

“Within the framework of the 27th international exhibition of transport and logistics services TransRussia 2023, a memorandum was signed between KTZ Express JSC, RZD Logistics JSC and Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan JSC on the creation of a joint venture for the development of transportation. The goal of the joint venture will be the creation of a single logistics operator on the eastern route of the North-South international transport corridor, the report says.

The memorandum was signed by the General Director of the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan OJSC Merdan Bashimov, the General Director of KTZ Express JSC Kairat Utyapov and the General Director of RZD Logistics JSC Dmitry Murev.

“The parties agreed to combine their competencies to form competitive tariff rates and “seamless” transportation of goods from Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan to Iran, India, the countries of the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region with the participation of Aksarayskaya, Ozinki, Bolashak, Inche-Burun, Serakhs border crossings and vice versa," the press service said.

The company explained that the North-South corridor for Kazakhstan is one of the main points of growth in the development of transport and economic ties with Iran and India. According to Kazakh shippers, the obvious advantage of this land corridor is the high speed of cargo delivery.
