A batch of new equipment entered the production association Lebapsuwhojalyk (“Lebap Water Management”): 6 bulldozers and 12 excavators from the Japanese company Komatsu.
According to the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper, 15 more units of new equipment are expected to be received here in the near future.
An extensive network of water facilities has been established in the Lebap velayat. The total length of irrigation and collector systems exceeds 14850 kilometers. Almost 6930 of them are inter-farm and intra-farm irrigation canals.
The activities of the Lebapsuwhojalyk PA are mainly aimed at providing rural workers with water, carrying out land reclamation work, and preventing soil salinization processes. With the help of reliable equipment, employees of the production association annually deepen the bottom of canals and ditches for thousands of kilometers, clean them from the silt that settles on them. Komatsu equipment, with which Turkmenistan has long been fruitful cooperation, is most suitable for the country's climatic conditions.
