The very first postcard describing the “Titanic” disaster has been put up for auction in London, reports the “MIR 24” portal. The auction will be conducted by Charles Miller.

A postcard with information about the disaster that had happened was sent from Southampton on April 16, 1912, a day and a half after the liner sank. Probably, its sender took part in the transportation of passengers.

The starting price of the lot is 2,5 – 3,5 thousand dollars. The collector selling the postcard expressed the hope that the individual or museum that purchases the card will show it to the general public and not hide it from the public.
