Ireland decided to fight the monotonous repertoire of street musicians

Authorities in the Irish city of Killarney have banned street musicians from performing the same melodies, reports Europulse.

Local residents complained about the endless repetitions of songs. Now, under the new rules, street musicians are prohibited from playing for more than two hours in one place, and in order to continue, they will have to move at least 50 meters from their original place. In addition, the volume of the performance should not exceed 80 decibels.

They also decided to follow the content of the songs - the texts of obscene, offensive or racist content are prohibited.

Fines for violations of the new rules can reach 1,5 thousand euros.
