The first 10-day motocross “The Caspian Sea -Sea of Friendship” started on Saturday in the Astrakhan region. Igor Babushkin, governor of the Astrakhan region, led the motor rally.
At the moment, the participants of the motocross went to the Kazakh cities of Aktau and Atyrau. Then their path will pass through the Turkmen cities of Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi, reports TASS.
Until April 11, the convoy of motorcyclists will also visit the Iranian cities of Babolser and Reshte, the Azerbaijani cities of Astar and Baku, and the Russian city of Kaspiysk.
The longest crossing between Atyrau and Aktau will be 905 km, the shortest between Astrakhan and Atyrau is 360 km.
Participants will overcome almost 5 thousand kilometers on motorcycles in 10 days. The motocross will be held along such a route for the first time; previously, no region of Russia has participated in such tours.
This action is designed to strengthen good neighborly relations with the countries of the Caspian region.
