The mayor of one of the small Spanish cities in the Valencia region, Michel Montaner, has found an unusual way to get closer to his voters - he goes to visit them, dine and talk about all the pressing problems of the city, writes “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
The mayor usually pays visits to the townspeople only by prior invitation and never comes empty-handed - he always brings sweets.
After the mayor announced publicly that he is ready to come to visit every citizen who invites him, Montaner has no end of invitations - he has already made more than ten visits, and more than a hundred invitations have been received in total.
Not without criticism: some citizens noticed that the mayor of the city decided to be closer to the people only on the eve of new municipal elections
