The Saudi Arabian authorities have announced the launch of a new transit visa, reports The Economic Times.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia announced the joint release of the program “Your ticket is a visa” with Saudia and Flynas airlines. Within its framework, foreigners booking seats on the liners of these air carriers will be permitted to enter the kingdom for four days, that is, 96 hours. Travelers will be able to see the sights or make the Hajj during this period.
Saudia and Flynas passengers can apply for a transit visa when booking tickets online as early as the first half of 2023. The service will be extended to all international airports in the country.
The entry permit will be free.
Now citizens of Turkmenistan need to apply for a visa in advance to enter Saudi Arabia. Now tourists fly to the country with a connection at the airports of Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates.
