The total amount of transactions on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded 14 million 754 thousand US dollars last week.
In total, 28 transactions were registered at the auction, the State Information Agency reports.
For foreign currency, businessmen from the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, Türkiye, Afghanistan and other countries purchased low in sulphur furnace petroleum residue produced at the Turkmenbashi oil processing complex, as well as polypropylene (SC “Turkmennebit”).
Moreover, cotton yarn was sold for foreign currency, which was purchased by entrepreneurs from Türkiye.
For manat funds, representatives of business circles from Türkiye purchased cotton yarns worth over 17 million 508 thousand manats.
For the domestic market, local businessmen purchased ultimate petroleum coke (SC “Turkmennebit”) in the amount of 22 million 400 thousands manats.
A week ago, the amount of currency transactions on the stock exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about 24 million US dollars.
