Topical issues in the transport sector were discussed today by the leaders of the transport sectors of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
The talks were held in the National Touristic Zone “Awaza” the day before the first trilateral summit.
As the State News Agency reports, the negotiations touched upon the issues related to the adoption of joint measures for the development of rail transport, the development of a draft Agreement on the creation of competitive tariffs and conditions for the implementation of rail transport.
Among the main topics of the meeting is the harmonization and creation of favorable conditions for road carriers. In this regard, the possibilities of developing mechanisms for issuing visa procedures were considered.
Also, the interaction in the development of common mechanisms for container transportation and the creation of favorable tariff conditions was discussed.
The meeting participants expressed a similar opinion on the need to organize forums and discussions for the exchange of experience in the field of cybersecurity and innovative technologies, as well as the development of mechanisms for training and retraining personnel in this area.
