Apple plans to acquire “Manchester United” to make it the richest football club in the world, writes the Daily Star.

Previously, the club's owners, Joel and Abraham Glazer, had directed the board of directors to advise on the sale of the club or a strategic partnership with a new investor.

Among those who expressed a desire to acquire “Manchester United” is Jim Ratcliffe, the head of the chemical giant Ineos. Former “United” and England international David Beckham could become part owner of the club.

Apple Corporation is ready to pay for the “Mancunians” the amount of 5,8 billion pounds. Thus, the English football club could become the richest club in the world, as the company has an annual income of about 326 billion pounds and an asset value of 2 trillion pounds.
