The Ferrari car of Michael Schumacher, on which he won the 2003 “Formula-1”, was sold for more than 14.9 million US dollars at auction, reports “RIA Novosti” with the reference to the Sotheby’s Auction House.
Preliminary, the race car was estimated at 8-10 million. The F2003-GA model with chassis 229, on which he won his 6th title of the “Formula-1” Championship, was put up for sale.
It is noted that recently the family of Schumacher have already sold at the auctions the race cars Ferrari F300 of 1998 season and F2001 of the year of 2001 for 6.2 and 7.5 million US dollars correspondingly.
Schumacher is a seven-time world champion. The athlete received a severe traumatic brain injury in 2013.
