From November 7, 2022, drivers of foreign and Turkmen vehicles will be permitted to enter, exit and transit through the territory of Turkmenistan. About this reports the official website of the Agency “Turkmenawtoulaglary” of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
Entry/exit of vehicles is permitted subject to all necessary rules at the following border crossings:
- Turkmenbashi International Sea Port
- Checkpoint “Artyk” (state border with Iran - checkpoint “Lotfabad”)
- Checkpoint “Sarakhs” (state border with Iran – checkpoint “Sarakhs”)
- Checkpoint “Garabogaz” (state border with Kazakhstan - checkpoint “Temir Baba”)
- Checkpoint “Altyn Asyr” (state border with Iran - checkpoint “Incheburun”)
- Checkpoint “Dashoguz” (state border with Uzbekistan - checkpoint “Shavat”)
- Checkpoint “Koneurgench” (state border with Uzbekistan – checkpoint “Hojeyli”)
- Checkpoint “Farap” (state border with Uzbekistan – checkpoint “Alat”)
- Checkpoint “Imamnazar” (state border with Afghanistan - checkpoint “Akina”)
- Checkpoint “Serhetabat” (state border with Afghanistan - checkpoint “Turgundi”)
Let us remind that from September 8, 2022, vehicles of foreign states were permitted to transit goods through Turkmenistan.
