Today in Turkmenistan, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a large-scale planting campaign was launched as part of the implementation of the National Forest Program, the State Information Agency.
In the landscaping campaign also took part members of the Government, the representatives of Ministries and agencies of the country, university students and residents of Turkmenistan.
The head of state gave the start of a large-scale fall landscaping campaign on the territory of the cultural and parking complex of Mahtumkuli Fragi in the south part of the capital at the monument ascending to the heavens, planting Turkmen juniper.
The members of the honored campaign followed the example of the President.
The environmental campaign was also supported by the Cahirman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who took part in planting trees in the modern administrative center of the Ahal velayat, that is under construction.
Large scale actions for planting trees have become not only a good tradition in Turkmenistan, but also an example or a common good cause in the name of preserving natural resources and sustainable development on the planet.
Based on the recommendations of the Convention and its obligations under the Paris Agreement, Turkmenistan is making practical efforts in the field of climate change, annually planting millions of tree seedlings. So, in 2020, 25 million trees were planted. And in 2021, marked by the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland, 30 million seedlings of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees and grapes were planted in Ashgabat and the regions of the country, according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan. Of these, 10 million seedlings joined the green decoration of the capital.
