The sad news came from the UK - the famous British actor Robbie Coltrane died aged 73, reported the Russian service of BBC News.
Robbie Coltrane is best remembered by the modern moviegoer for his role as Rubeus Hagrid, a half-giant, key keeper and forester at Hogwarts School of Wizardry in the Harry Potter film franchise.
The actor was also known for his role as criminal psychologist Fitzgerald in the British TV series “The Cracker Method”, roles in some James Bond films, and a comic role in “Nuns on the Run”. In total, he starred in more than a hundred films. Coltrane was awarded the BAFTA Film Award for “Best Supporting Actor” for his portrayal of Hagrid.
Coltrane was available for a wide range of roles - from comic characters and good wizards to dramatic roles of detectives and crime bosses.
