The first flight took off from Ashgabat to Istanbul today after the resumption of “Turkmenistan” Airlines flights. This is evidenced by the data of the online scoreboard of Istanbul airport.

The aircraft Boeing 737-800 took off from the capital city of Turkmenistan approximately at 18:40 Ashgabat time. The flight T5 0921 is expected in Istanbul at 20:40 local time.

Regular flights to Istanbul will be operated from Ashgabat on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. In the opposite direction from Turkey to Turkmenistan, the planes will return to the Turkmenbashi airport.

Let us remind that regular flights between Türkiye and Turkmenistan were suspended in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Charter air connection was organized between the countries. Along with the “Turkmenistan” Airlines, charter flights were carried out by Turkish Airlines.

For now, “Turkmenistan” Airlines operates regular flights to Moscow (Russia), Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia), Frankfurt-am-Mein (FRG) and Dubai (UAE).

From October 15, “Turkmenistan” Airlines resumes flights to Belarus.
