The Russian Oil Company “Lukoil” bought the Moscow “Spartak” and its stadium – “Otkritie Bank Arena”, reports sports.ru.
“More than 20 years the company is the general sponsor of the club and cooperates with it on joint projects, related to the promotion of “Lukoil” brand”, - is said in the press-service of the oil company.
“Lukoil” plans to execute the range of strategic initiatives aimed at advancement of the system of club management with the aim of creation more transparent and collegial decision-making mechanism, involving professionals with successful experience in the sports industry.
In the announcement of the company also said that “Lukoil” continues active development of club infrastructure. Besides the company will act as an investor of construction of the universal sports hall and hotel for the sportsmen and fans in Tushino.
Moreover, it is already known, that Leonid Fedun went from the post of the president of “Spartak”. On the official website of the Moscow Club the address of Fedun was published:
