A team of scientists from the University of Queensland, Australia, has created a microchip patch for COVID-19. In an experimental study of the new development in mice, the Vaxxas patch was proven to be more effective than traditional injection vaccination.
So, when studying the efficiency of Hexapro drugs and the Vaxxas patch for coronavirus, the latter showed that it helps to fight new variants of the virus 11 times better than the vaccine.
The patch is a platform where the drug is delivered through microchips to the layers of the dermis, which is rich in immune cells.
As reports mir24, the company is preparing for large clinical trials in order to quickly introduce the development into mass production.
