Within the framework of the “Academy of Preventive Diplomacy for young people from Central Asia and Afghanistan” initiative, two online seminars were held on working with youth in Turkmenistan.
The UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) organized the seminars. Representatives of the Turkmen youth became participants in the training, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
At the first seminar, the participants got acquainted with the UN “Youth 2030” Strategy and its five priority areas:
- attracting of young people to solve modern problems;
- expanding access to education and health care;
- improving the economic situation of young people;
- providing conditions for the realization of civil and political rights of youth;
- support for youth in conflict and crisis.
The second seminar addressed the issue of youth leadership. The participants were introduced to the skills and qualities necessary for a youth leader, and the time management model for prioritizing the implantation of tasks.
