A series of consultations on the electronic data interchange (EDI) system implementation was organized by the United Nations Development Program jointly with the Agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk" of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on May 30-31.

The consultations were held with the participation of the Estonian Consulting Company Proud Engineers.

The event was aimed at developing a Roadmap for the implementation of the EDI system in the country in accordance with the State Program for Development of Digital Economy for 2021-2025. The EDI system is an important stage in the process of digitalization of public services for the population and business in the country; it facilitates the exchange of business documents and data within various platforms and software.
