In public transport of Ashgabat, a system of payment for travel by “Altyn Asyr” bankcards of all banks of Turkmenistan has been launched, reported on the website of the “Turkmenawtoulaglary” Agency.
“The new feature is available on all city public transport”, - said in the message.
It is enough for passengers to attach a bankcard, phone or watch that supports contactless payment (NFC) functions to the validator to pay for the fare.
You must have an activated bankcard and a sufficient amount of money in your account (at least the cost of one trip) to successfully pay for the fare.
It is noted that the new service was introduced in order to digitalize urban transport and improve the quality of travel for passengers.
