Deryageldi Nuryevich Orazov was appointed Chairman of the new State Committee for Construction of the Akhal Region Center. The relevant Decree was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during an off-site Government meeting at the place of the new building today, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
Deryageldi Orazov, who graduated from two higher educational institutions with a degree in accountant-economist and lawyer, has extensive experience in management. In 2007, he headed the State Committee for Tourism and Sports of Turkmenistan, and then — the Hyakimlik (Mayor’s Office) of the city of Ashgabat. From August 15, 2008 to February 21, 2012, he was Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Construction.
From the very beginning of the Ahal-City project, Deryageldi Orazov headed the Directorate of Facilities under Construction.
According to the Head of Turkmenistan, the decision to appoint D. Orazov as Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the Administrative Center of the Akhal Region was made "in order to timely perform and coordinate the relevant work."
To recap, the new State Committee was established "in order to ensure the construction and commissioning of a new modern Administrative Center of the Ahal Region at a high quality level."
The new Ahal Administrative Center of worth 1.5 billion US dollars is under construction 30 kilometers southwest of the Turkmen capital. The start of this large-scale project was given in April 2019. The construction of the first stage of the Administrative Center of the Akhal Region should be completed in December of this year – by the Day of Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
